Petra Slezakova from the organization “Zero waste Slovakia” talked about how a three month worth of waste can fit in a jar of mustard. This is a rather radical (from lat. “radix” meaning “a root”) view, however very inspiring, and leading us towards the basic problem- the root. The responsibility for our environment and our planet is no longer only a thing for hipsters and hippies, but has become a personal decision and spirituality. Petra thinks that the road towards “zero waste” can start with one decision, with conscious restriction to a consumer’s standards. Our planet will be thankful to us…
